About Ecuato

Ecuato builds interactive planner dashboards that run as a single HTML file on your own computer. No account, no subscription, no sync service. This page explains who is behind the site, how the guides are put together, and how the site pays for itself.

What Ecuato actually makes

Every planner sold here is one index.html file. You download it, open it in any browser and it works, including with the internet switched off. Your entries are saved by the browser on the device you used, which means nothing you type is uploaded to us or to anyone else. There is no login screen because there is no server holding your data.

That design has a real trade-off and it would be dishonest to hide it: because the data lives in one browser on one device, the planners do not sync between your laptop and your phone. They are built for people who want a tool that keeps working and keeps their data to itself, not for people who need cloud sync.

Alongside the paid planners, the site publishes free calculators and written guides that need no download at all.

How the app roundups are written

The best-of guides compare apps on what their makers publicly document and on what is visible in their published pricing, permissions and app store listings. Where a guide states what an app costs or what data it collects, that comes from the app's own current pages, not from memory. The full editorial policy, including what these guides deliberately do not claim, is set out in how we review.

Ecuato is not a neutral referee in these comparisons and does not pretend to be. Every roundup names an Ecuato planner as one of the options, and that planner is clearly labelled as ours. Read those guides knowing the site that wrote them sells one of the entries. Where a guide contains affiliate links, a disclosure appears at the top of the article before any recommendation.

Health and money topics

A lot of what people track is health related: symptoms, cycles, blood pressure, medication. Nothing on this site is written by a doctor, and nothing on it is medical advice. The planners are containers for notes you keep for yourself and, if it helps, to show a clinician. The same goes for the budgeting tools, which are arithmetic, not financial advice. Decisions about your health or your money belong with a qualified professional who knows your situation.

How the site makes money

Three ways, all of them visible on the page where they happen. Planners are sold as one-time purchases, here and on the Ecuato Etsy shop. Some guides carry affiliate links, which pay a commission if you buy through them at no extra cost to you, and which are disclosed in the article. There is no advertising, no data brokerage and no recurring billing anywhere on the site.
